"Great features for the price, but mediocre quality"
Pros: For the price, one can pack in a fast processor, lots of memory, an enormous hard drive, security features, and a nice screen, into a reasonably small package. Good value!
Cons: Corners of the case are so sharp that they hurt one's forearms when typing. The layout of the Home, End, PgUp, and PgDn keys is very awkward. Problems with nVidia card Dell can't fix, and other keyboard problems.
Summary: A disappointing computer compared to what I've come to expect from Dell, but it works well enough. This was supposed to be the Latitude line for small business owners but our office's D420s and D610s were better designed laptops, albeit now underpowered -- so, we're compelled to switch to Vostro. BTW, the new E-series Latitutdes have the same sharp corners and poorly laid out movement keys as the Vostro 1310.
