"Mid-performer, great value, excellent support" on by fluidpusher
Pros: Cheap, huge screen, light-weight, Low initial cost of ownership and low cost upgrading
Cons: Cramped keys, poor software pre-installed, dis-continued item from Everex
Summary: Great performance for middle ground applications. Definitely not a gaming machine. Cool running, quiet, and stable. Cheap upgrades (batteries and RAM), not too small, and not too big, just the right size. This is my third laptop, and of the three that I've owned (IBM Thinkpad, Averatec, Everex) the best value for performance and features. Thanks Everex!

"For the price this is a great notebook." on by mrhex
Pros: Atheros AR5005G chipset
Cons: Incapable of playing games on this machine.
Summary: Overall, I like this machine. I just needed a laptop for school, so I picked this up. Don't expect to play World of Warcraft on this machine. After all, who buys $400 laptop for anything other then surfing the Web?
I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the on-board Atheros AR5005G Mini-PCI wi-fi card supports monitor mode. Most folks would not find this useful, but for a student pursuing a degree in IT, this is a godsend.
I was again surprised to find that this laptop will burn DVD-R/RWs. I am sure that the dual-layer DVD-R/RWs are standard on most laptops. -
"DONT BUY!!!!!" on by girlypink45
Pros: NOTHINGG!!!!!!
Cons: My parents got me this for Christmas one year and at first it was alright but then i realized that normal computers are supposed to keep a battery life of at least 2 hours. Slow process, unfixable, short battery life, and low memory!!
Summary: Don't ever buy a computer you have never heard of! I just got a Dell Inspiron its totally awesome this everex computer SUCKSS!!!!!

"Hate It!!!!!" on by tammiesue2009
Pros: Nothing!!!!!
Cons: Before the year was up my battery stopped working and I was calling them and they where giving me the run around. I will have never purchased such a piece of crap before in my life. I will never purchase anything online from Walmart again.
Summary: I only have had this computer a year and a half and it runs slow as ever and now I can't contact them to get a battery or send it back to have them check it out.If I renters insurance I would break it and fail a claim on it.NOT

"For the price just perfect for entry level user." on by eddie137
Pros: Has wireless module and dvd player/burner. I think it's rugged enough for a collage student., I bought it for my daughter she loves it. Get Windows XP on it and add just another gig of memory and it's really good computer.
Cons: The laptop is not a toshiba or a sony viao built but I have seen worse and fixed worse laptops around. Slightly on the cheaper feel but that goes away after use.
Summary: If it's available from Newegg or online buy it. I must say you'll need to be a little computer savy to upgrade and add another OS to it. Everex has been great to me on support issues, not many issues but they do respond. I see a lot of people flat out don't like this laptop but I don't think they are savy computer users. I'm a CCNA and just about fininshed with AS in Cisco Networking. Built a lot desktops and fixed many laptops, take it from me it's worth the money.
