"almost PERFECT - but pretty darn close!" on by camarora2000

Pros: Super Bright & Clear Screen, Long Battery Life, Loads of ports and connections, Robust

Cons: I am not a fan of CD trays. If this had a CD insert/eject drive like the Apple Powerbooks, then this machine would be hands off the best computer I have ever seen and used.

Summary: I have had my P7010D for six months now, and I am happy to say that this is the best technology purchase I have ever made. I have had a handful of Dell computers & laptops in the past, but this Fujitsu machine takes the cake. The fingerprint sensor was a little inaccurate at first, but now, it is more than 95% accurate. It is only inaccurate when I don't swipe my finger properly. The screen is so bright, I could work with my sunglasses on. And not to mention the 4-hour battery life. I have had absolutely no problems so far with this computer. It is super handy, and I actually find it easier to type with the smaller keyboard. The only thing I would change is the CD tray. There are no problems with the CD tray, but I prefer the automatic insert/eject slots that are found the Apple Powerbooks. I plan to purchase another couple of these for the rest of my family within the next year.

"the best 'pc' notebook on the planet. bar none." on by Mainframe

Pros: ultraportable, small, cute, gorgeous screen, biometric scanner that actually WORKS, great sound for a notebook, awesome batterylife, ability to use the modular bay for another battery

    Cons: it runs xp.

Summary: i am and always have been a mac user. but my 12" powerbook was still too big for what i wanted.
i decided to buy one of these lifebooks for the geek factor of using another system (i intend to dual boot linux on it however) and i really like it.
this is in my opinion the best ultraportable you can come by and the best 'peecee' notebook ever.
the biometric scanner actually WORKS. i thought it would be some cheap gimmick but it works perfect for me to log into windows, log into websites, encrypting files.
the keyboard is fine for me, im a 21 year old male and while my fingers arent huge, they arent tiny either....i couldent see a problem with most people using the keyboard on this machine unless your fingers are exceptionally big.

the only thing i i dont like about it is that it has xp (osx on this thing would be PERFECTION) and that the lid, while black in normal light actually looks like a deep deeep deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep brown if you hold it directly under a bright light. but unless your looking at every microscopic detail (like i do) and inspecting it under a spotlight it will look solid black :)

overall im very pleased with this notebook, im by no means 'switching' but its nice having the option to use either platform and having a cute little amazingly portable device like this

if your thinking about getting one, seriously considor it. it is an editors choice for a reason, and it think it truly deserves it.
i looked at the sony t series too, but LESS features for MORE money and an ugly design seemed pretty stupid to me.
the lifebook even came with a carry bag and a screen cloth :)

suffice to say, i love it

"Stellar after 5 months of use" on by kbeone

Pros: Brilliant screen, full keyboard, SUPER FAST, amazing wireless, light

Cons: maybe the speakers, WHAT NOTEBOOK HAS GOOD ONES?

Summary: I bought this computer with 1gb of ram, 60gb hard drive, and 1.1ghz for school purposes, and it hasn't failed me once after 5 months of solid use. The screen has to be the most brilliant and bright I have ever seen, looks better than most plasma televisions. I was amazed at how easy it was to get used to the keyboard. The keyboard is actually big, because it covers the width of the notebook. This computer is super light, and super easy to connect to the wireless internet ANYWHERE. When i first set it up, it immidietly connected. SIMPLY PUT--- BUY THIS COMPUTER!!!

    "I'm In Love" on

Pros: Clear screen, long battery, wireless, loud stereo speakers, plays most games, nice keyboard, great as a dvd player.

Cons: No internal Bluetooth, hot harddrive and cpu when using demanding programs, lacking alot in the graphics card area (Fujitsu/siemens- please give an option for a high-end dedicated video card on the next version - maybe in the cd-rom bay)

"Great portable, but can seem a little too small at times." on

Pros: High resolution screen, great power, functionality, feature-set, long battery life, optical drive.

Cons: Seems flimsy, small keyboard, screen is a little small, gets warm, plastic around screen touches the keyboard when closed.
