"Ultimate Lightweight Companion"
Pros: Less than 3 lbs, integrated optical, relatively fast, very flexible
Cons: Expensive (how much is portability worth to you?)
Summary: Sure, totally decked out, this thing will run you around $2600, but it's one terrific ultraportable. It's light (under 3 lbs), includes an integrated dual-layer DVD burner, has an SL7100 C2D processor running at 1.2GHz (fast enough for nearly everything except maybe HD video mixing), a gorgeous screen, and plenty of battery life (I get around 5.5 hours on a charge with Wi-Fi enabled). It also has just about all the latest features, too, including 802.11n, Bluetooth 2.0, a system of accelerometers that protect the HDD, and an LED-backlight screen (which saves on weight, lasts longer, and extends battery life). I'm not really sure this thing has any real negatives save for its price, but then excellence is rarely cheap.
