  • "A truly mediocre notebook, fron duplicitous vendor"
    1.0 stars
    on by Thad_McIlroy

    Pros: Lots of ports

    Cons: Everything else

Summary: This will be last time I order a computer sight unseen from a vendor's Web site. From now on -- a computer store, where I can evaluate the unit close up. My S7000 is the least interesting computer I've ever purchased, and with all the add-ons cost me over $3k. It took weeks to arrive, as they ship from Japan (via Alaska, no less!). The monitor sucks, it's not that fast, nor is it as light as it should be, and it doesn't have great batterly life. I wrote immediately to Fujitsu to return it, but they archly explained that because mine was a "custom" unit (i.e., a larger HD, some extra memory) it was not returnable. What a fraud! I tried selling it for $100 to my nephew, but he turned it down.
