FUJITSU S7110 IS A WINNER IN ALL CATEGORIESby eabraun - November 12, 2006
Pros: LIGHT, BIG HI-RES SCREEN, WELL ENGINEERED, PRACTICAL IN ALL WAYS
Cons: there are none. Even when I couldn't find the bluetooth driver/devices, customer service on a Sunday was amazingly quick, polite, efficient, and appreciated me as a customer.
Review:
The fact that the bluetooth driver was not preloaded was the worst thing that happened. It was on a CD in the box ready to go. I researched EVERY machine out on the market, coming to a conclusion that the Sony SZ or possibly the Dell XPS (but that screen size seems way too small). In the end I opted for this Fujitsu, (with 1" bigger screen than the Sony and longer battery life) with the 14"+Hi resolution screen. It is so comfortable to use, and perfect in every sense, that it amazes me that I don't see them everywhere. My machine was ordered online, and it was then assembled in Japan and arrived to me within ten days. I received email updates on the UPS package, which took only 2 days from Japan! When I called to find out why my bluetooth was not working, I was met by a wonderful woman in Ontario Candada (who informed me they run 24 hours in Ontario) who told me to load the driver from the CD. Took me five minutes from dialing to hanging up. When have you EVER seen that with a PC manufacturer? I love this machine and expect it to last as long as the other two I have bought in years past (both of which are still going strong - a C series and another S series). I've never written one of these reviews, but this time I thought it worth while.
