"This is a GREAT sub-notebook!" on by jonnybrady

Pros: It has a clear, bright screen, wi-fi, inbuilt webcam, mic and speakers, ethernet port, vga out, mic in and headphone jack, 2 usb ports, nice large keyboard, 1GB RAM, 160GB Hard disc!

Cons: I really can't think of any cons, the product was a great price, looks good and does exactly what I need it to do.

Summary: I really like this product it's small, light and looks slick, however I think some people expect too much from this laptop range, they're sub notebooks people!

I have a HP Mini-note (2133) and I think it's great for the money I paid for it ($550US). In comparison with other sub-notebooks it's specifications are excellent! I wanted a small machine, which it is. I wanted to be able to get on the net, which I can. I wanted to take my music with me and be able to play it, which again I can because of it's 160GB hard disc!

Also I wasn't disappointed with battery life, I was able to type for long periods without the need to have the machine plugged in, internet usage was a little draining but I was still impressed with how long the machines battery lasted.

Overall I am not disappointed with my purchase, I got what I expected and needed and for people who want raw processing power and all those little added extras like back-lit keyboard then you need to buy an actual fully featured, fully powered laptop! (e.g. fast processor, lots of RAM). This machine is great for what it is! :o)

This may be a decent product, but I have to wonder why it is given such high praise when it has only a 3 cell battery and a spinning hard drive. The only advantage this thing has over a product like the Eee PC 1000 is the express card. If an express card minus an SSD and a larger battery is worth $100 to you then this product makes sense. If not, then you can get a better product for cheaper.

I may be biased because I have an Eee PC 1000, but I think that the best thing about mine is the battery life, which is because of the SSD and the larger battery. If it had just a few hours of battery life, I wouldn't be able to sit outside, far from and outlet and write for hours, as I often do.
