"Awesome, not for Newbs" on by ktyree5150
Pros: Love the 180 degree turn, and the form factor is perfect. Great finish and lightweight, even with the slim dock. Mine has everything, including the WWAN, Bluetooth, 802.11n and a DVD-R/RW with Lightscribe. Runs great!
Cons: 1.8" SSD drives are hard to come by after 32GB. Expensive to upgrade to latest technology. Sometimes pen input is misinterpreted and it goes nuts. The pointer idea is retarded, as nobody uses those anymore. Long Live touchpad!
Summary: Memory maxed out at 8 GB for me (using 64 bit Windows 7 ultimate (genuine)), and I was able to get a 250 GB SSD drive with an adapter to work with the machine. Unfortunately, DriveProtect wont work with the SSD for some reason. Could be a firmware conflict, or a missing DMA file. Battery Life improved to 5.8 hours surfing the web, watching YouTube and listening to music after the SSD upgrade. 4.999999999 stars out of 5.

"Uber Cool Tablet for budget 2011 college student!" on by justendurr
Pros: The screen: its bright, it can do a 180, very strong, scratch resistant glass
Body: All Metal case makes it super strong
Features: It is a tablet and with win7 the writing recognition is like no other.
Battery: WOW, 3.5 hours heavy use (Max everythiCons: It has a PATA Zif HDD, so no quick and dirty SSD upgrades here.
Ram maxes out at 4 Gigs.
Missing track PadSummary: For me, this was a decision between great note taking, great battery life, way cool pen based data entry, great wifi, superb case harden metal body, or gassing up my car for a week. So I got the tablet and forced myself to ride a bike and bum rides off of everyone to get this computer. And it is worth every penny! So many people ask me what this computer is and they rarely believe me when I tell them it was about $200 bucks! My girlfriend was so impressed by this tablet that she bought mine right off me! So now I am back to looking for another one in this price range, which does not seem too hard to come across.
Bottom line: if you can live without a touch pad, then buy it! If not, you really will not be happy with it. I am an old IBM-er and just fell in love with this computer, especially the point stick! -
"HP Customer Service" on by htsaur
Pros: I'm sure the computer looks nice.
Cons: HP Customer Care blows.
Summary: BEWARE: HP Customer Service is one of the most atrocious, horrendous, and horrific experiences you will ever go through. Be prepared to spend hours on the phone going nowhere and lots of money getting problems fixed. So much so it will want you to go to a forum like this and write a message.
