"Better flexibility and perrformance for less than competitors"
Pros: Good performance, solid construction, plenty of ports, enterprise level security and management features, comfortable keyboard, adding the optional ultra battery provides best-in-class battery life
Cons: Awkward fingerprint reader placement, average single-battery life, heavy with ultra battery
Summary: As an IT support manager and buyer for the traveling workers at my company, I needed to balance the needs of the users and my own sanity. The 6910p offered good performance, portability, durability, and excellent battery life when the optional ultra battery is attached to the bottom. This was key for the users, as they could easily remove it when it wasn't necessary, and it provided an additional 8+ hours of battery life when they did. The enterprise security, management and support features help to make my life easier. While it's built well, it's not as durable as a Thinkpad. But at several hundred dollars less than the Thinkpad, it more than holds its own in terms of features and design. If money is no object, you're hard on your laptop and you don't need to go an entire day without plugging into the wall, the Thinkpad will suit you well. But in terms of performance, features and flexibility that will suit everyone, the HP can't be beat.
