Summary: my all in all opinion is that this laptop is a great running fast laptop, that has a great battery life for portable use, and is very light and easily movable.

Cons: a little slow at times as well as bulky and heavy
Summary: For the most part this laptop worked well. I have to say though after adding 1 gig of ram I did not see much of a difference. It seemed to perform at the same 500 meg level. Windows worked well on it except for the times it decided to freeze everything. Battery life kind of sucked. I think the most I was able to get out of it was 1.2 hours with the wireless off. Dropped it a few times and seemed to take a licking and keep on ticking. For a work laptop it did its job.

Cons: not dvd-rw, no bluetooth
Summary: Infra-red??? No use. Instead of IR, HP Compaq should consider bluetooth. Great screen but to bright.

Pros: Centrino, built-in wireless, CD-RW/DVD, are big advantages for me. Good audio.
Cons: Suddenly afetr 5 months of use, started to shut down by itself and not to start-up. Gone to srvice I have been told that there is a failure in the display... Also has not built-in micro.
