"Excellent buy, great features and super all around!"
Pros: For the money it is great....fast, good basic video card, big screen, everthing in one. Fingerprint reader, backlit AND full size keyboard with number pad too!
Cons: It does attract fingerprints....and the battery doesnt last long so if you need more than 1 1/2 hrs away from the socket you better get the 2nd battery.
Summary: I had a Dell Studio 1537 prior to this...for $1200. This was $230 more....I got same 2.66 with 4 G ram. This has better video card, 3" bigger screen, larger 320 vs 250 7200 hard drive, a blu ray, a tv tuner, and MUCH better sound. Plus I had to return the Dell because the 3450 video card was incompatable with the Vista 64 bit and gave the BSD at least 2x per day when you hooked it up to an external monitor(minor glitch you dont hear about, but is a known problem that goes unspoken). This may not be for everyone if your wanting the lightest or are a hard core gamer, or battery life is the mainstay of your existence. I am only away from a socket using the computer long enough to look things up and play basic games. It does everything I need it to do and how. For a few hundred dollars more....this is a no brainer. This has serious value. Way to go HP.
Updated on Apr 13, 2009I forgot the screen is tough to see....but they all are in bright light...plus on a screen this big it is going to catch reflections.
