Pros: - Sensational build quality for a netbook.
- Beautiful screen.
- Feature-rich for a small machine.Cons: - Fault with the included HP software causes CPU utilisation to be very high (90-100%). HP have known about the issue for at least 2 months and have not rectified it.
- HP Support is woeful.
- A little pricey for a netbook.Summary: Make sure you are sure that HP has rectified the issue with HP Wireless Assistant that causes high CPU utilisation. The software is required to turn the WLAN, WWAN and BT radios on or off, but the machine grinds to a halt when it is running (it runs as a service in the background).
If you're not sure that they have fixed the problem, make sure that you're ok with not being able to turn the radios on or off - otherwise you'll really regret buying this machine (as I did).

Although there is an issue with the CPU using the HP Wireless Assistant you are not correct that it is required to run WiFi or Bluetooth. There may be some options that require this software, but as with any computer you can control Wifi and Bluetooth natively through Windows. That is exactly what I am doing as I write this on my HP mini 5102;

I agree that HP has the worst customer support. I wouldn't buy another HP product. I bought in 2007 HP Pavilion m8200n. One year later I had the first problems and I paid for extended warranty. it didn't help and I solved the problem by myself. another year passed and another problem which is worst and belongs to HP "code purple". They wouldn't let me download a program to take off the DMI folder which is causing the problem rather they sent a package to send my computer to them. i will probably buy an operating system, stay away from Vista. Everything started with Vista not recognizing the license. I called HP customer support and they asked me if I had a monitor???!!!! than I was asked to pay them. Thanks, but no thanks! No more HP!!! I am looking to replace my HP desktop and I am determined to look more at customer support than the product. Thanks for this review!
