"CNET review sux... Fore the money, this laptop rocks!" on by oneK1LL3R
Pros: Bluetooth
Wireless N
Very long battery life
latest AMD Turion x2 Ultra CPU
500Gig HD vs the advertised 400
BrightView Infinity Display
Amazing speakers for a laptop!Cons: Don't care for the cromed out look, wish it was all black.
Battery has huge 6 hour run time, but is also huge and protrudes under the laptop.Summary: CNET review is horrid. The graphics on the lid have nothing to do with the price! The extra $60 gets you blue-tooth, Wireless-N and an extended run-time battery. You can't tell me that is not worth $60, and for that matter, show me a laptop in the same price range that has these features! Oh, and how about the 500Gig drive they are shipping with?
This is the only laptop in it's price range to have blue-tooth, wireless N, and a BrightView "Infinity" display. The ATi 3200 is nearly 2x as fast as the onboard video from Intel when it comes to 3D applications/games. I could not find a more rounded laptop for the $$$. -
"Extermely Impressed With Overall Perfomance!" on by djs231
Pros: 450GB HD Light enough to carry in a backpack while riding a Motorcycle for hours on end. he 4 gigs of ram keeps it super fast and able to expand up to 8 gigs@
Cons: Software from my old XP O.S. for some reasom would delete my DVDrw drive. Vista would delete the drivers & the only fix was a hard reset! But it's an MS issue not HP. Just be cautios as to what XP programs you install.
Summary: I needed a laptop for school, work and everyday use. The ease of use is awesome! Tons of HD space, The AMD processors are kick ass! They work smoothly & flawless everytime!!The speed is fast and also consistant! wHETHER you're playing games, writing document or editing pics, or surfing the web! The best HP I've owned hands down! And this is my 3rd HP laptop in 9 years! i HAVE ALSO HAD COMPAQ, AND SONY VIAO'S, But not one can hold a candle to this unit! With the power setting set to power save mode the 12 cell battery lasts for 6-7 hours! The
SMALL TYPO...400 GIG HARDDRIVE NOT 450...KNOW I'M A *******...IT''S MY COMPUTER &I FORGET THE SIZE OF THE HARD DRIVE...LOL! AWESOME LAPTOP @ A GREAT PRICE!!!
high performance setting makes everything lightning fast! However, the battery time is cut in half! And the only promlem I encountered was an XP Vista compatibility problem,,,which is the Microsoft software and the HP's software.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! AWESOME LAPTOP FOR A GREAT PRICE WITH TONS GOODIES ALREADY BUIILT IN AND COMPERABLE TO LAPTOPS COSTING $5-600 MORE!!!

"I'm very satisfied with this laptop." on by capt124
Pros: Seems very fast to me. The Vista 64 Bit is good, contrary to what I've heard about Vista.
Cons: My only complaint is the screen reflects alot of light.
Summary: When I first got it, I thought there were only 2 USB ports, but after reading the manual, I found the 3rd USB is a combo port with the eSata port. My wireless mouse transmitter is plugged in there right now! I also like the fact that you can turn off the touch pad by depressing a button.

"DO NOT BUY, IF OWNED SELL BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE" on by lewisz90
Pros: long battery life (Depending on what it is used for), cool design, bluetooth adapter, wireless N
Cons: Gets hot quickly, heavy, restarts itself due to high temp, slower than average after prolonged use
Summary: I have has this laptop for a little over a year and in the last few months it has been giving me difficulties. through the time I've had it, this laptop has had a overheating issue, even with a 30$ cooling pad underneath it. thanks to a new bios update (* months ago) a fail-safe was put in to shut the laptop down after a certain temp for too long. well after yesterday i find out that wasn't good enough. my motherboard has fried. can't boot to anything not even bios. it was a good laptop for the time i had it but its overall life span was too short for the price i paid. if i can get it fixed I'm selling as fast as possible with warnings. Today i picked up a new asus laptop that was 200 dollars cheaper than this one and it kicks ass. HP is usually a good product but this one has failed me.

"DO NOT BUY!" on by Ashley505
Pros: Battery life
Cons: Battery size, LOUD, HOT, screen not bright, heavy, not sturdy, etc.
Summary: I had this computer for 9 months and it needed a new motherboard and hard drive. From day one it's been extremely loud, even after 5 minutes of use. It also gets really hot, although the bulky battery lifts it up, so it's never flat. After too much heat, it will shut down. You can't use this computer outside because the screen isn't bright enough. On top of that, the battery adds A LOT of weight, so although it's small, it's just as heavy (if not heavier) than a 15 or 16 inch laptop. The only potentially good thing I could say is that it has a pretty good battery life, but that doesn't really make up for much in my opinion. I payed a lot of money for this computer, but it was not worth it in any way, shape or form. I will never buy an HP again.
