Pros: Expandable Ram up till 8GB and is super fast with unique slick design.
Cons: the graphics card could be better.
Summary: If you want something great and not too expensive yet better than a macbook pro....In my opinion this is the only match. Well done HP.

Pros: It is powerful, runs really cool, an excellent choice for many. Setup and connecting to wireless was a snap. I found the laptop for 849.99 after rebates.
Cons: I wish HP provided more documentation with the computer. I generally know my way around computers, yet it took me some time to figure out what made everything work.
Summary: If you are considering a notebook in the $600 - $700 range, I would recommend you check this system out. For a few more dollars, you get a lot more technology. This is a computer you can easily keep for several years.
Bottom-line is this, I think the DV5-1000 is an excellent computer, Well, worth taking a close look at! -

Pros: extremly fast machine, crystal clear webcam picture, light and portable yet robust and solid, slick design, included earphones are top notch wich makes for a great dvd watching experience.
Cons: The video card should have been dedicated not shared which causes it not to work on all high end new game titles....
Summary: Great laptop for the money with amazing performance and features.
If only the video card was dedicated , i would have given it a 5/5 rating.... -

Pros: This is a great system for an average to above average user who needs solid performance and crystal-clear display. Keys are easy to type and accessible volume slider at the top of the keyboard makes this a minimalist dream.
Cons: Grainy, on-board video card does not give good graphics if your a gamer or need to design. You can make good use of the video edit and picture edit pixel count, but don't run Gears of War 2 on this video card.
Summary: A worthwhile buy with good system for the money. I havn't found a better all around PC under the $800 mark and this will get you everything you need but beware: THIS IS NOT A HIGH_END MACHINE, if you want performance, spend more money.

Pros: The features are great for the money, It looks great.
Cons: Had to take it apart the first day I bought it to snap the plastic pieces between the screen and the touch keys into place. Build Quality otherwise is awesome.
Summary: The touch pad is very precise, more so than my ar series vaio was. the touch pad at the top is neat, especially the volume slider. Used the system restore function right away cuz i bought the display, worked great.
