"Very stylish entertainment notebook - good choice for me! :)"
Pros: Overall style, nice QuickPlay feat., touch-pad on/off button, very nice display, good speakers (!).
Cons: Average battery life, can run a little hot. Not very mobile notebook.
Summary: It's not a laptop I would buy for work purposes only. It's clearly made for entertainment and I think it lacks serious business computer qualities (it's not grey and boring and optimized for work only
). That said, it comes with AMD Turion 64 x2, which means that it has power enough to satisfy even the most power-hungry applications. I have never experienced any slowdown and I usually work with my Flash, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, browser, Media Player and what not open at the same time. Accompanied with my Wacom tablet, it has become invaluable to me when I'm working outside my home or when I want some portability. I should say that it isn't a very mobile laptop. Battery life with standard 6 cell battery isn't very long when working full power (that is with full brightness, wireless on and media player or something similar running). But I find that I can always turn down the brightness (especially at nights), switch off my wireless connection and read something instead of watching DVD/doing some hardcore working when I'm running on batteries only. But when there's a power outlet somewhere to be found, I cannot resist turning on the QuickPlay feature and watching some of my favourite DVDs. It has a great display, made for high definition movies and Altec Lansing speakers just make the movie watching with this laptop a very satisfying experience. When it comes to gaming, there isn't much to be said. GeForce Go 7200 just isn't a gaming card. But it can run a game or two, when some graphic features are turned low or off. One more thing to add - it is surprisingly silent. The cooler just kicks in occasionally and this quite low hum it makes doesn't bother me at all, even at nighttime.
