"Gave it back"
Pros: nice 17" monitor
Cons: I had to give it back.
Summary: I got this Laptop from Staples, I wanted to upgrade to a bigger monitor and they had a good deal, it did sound like a good idea. One hour after first starting it the monitor went black, just for few sec, I actually didn't think much of it, a little later it did it again, the next time the system crashed !! Next morning same problem all over, I start looking into the error message and figure out that the problem was with the graphic card so I got on the phone with HP, after 2 days of frustration (the poor thing just keept on crashing) I decided that to go take it on Staples and I have to say they offered to excange it no question asked. Went back home all happy and with a new laptop, turn it on and guess what, same story all over, all support could and wanted to do was to wipe memory off, I keep on telling them the problem was the graphic card, not with the hard drive and they insured me I was the only poor costumer that ever had this problem (with 2 computers, lucky me). Anyways I went back to Staples, got my money back (one more time no to many question asked). This was my first HP, I have a feeling this will me my last HP.

I suggest, next time do not buy HP hardware from Staples, but order it directly from HP. Over the years, we have bought 4 HP workstations, 1 HP desktop PC, and had a laptop and another desktop PC at the office. Never any problems. Moreover, HP customer support has been far better than expected when needed. After having dealt with Gateway and Dell, I have found HP support more than satisfactory.
