"All inclusive laptop, with a few downsides worth noting"
Pros: Wacom tablet, mobility of a 12" screen, dual core, plenty of hard drive space, and probably a lot more I can't think of at the moment.
Cons: Overheating (but not really, more on that later), digitizer (tablet pen), the trackpad, inability (at the moment) to run linux, and no digital video outputs.
Summary: The reason I choose the tx2000 is because I wanted a laptop that was comparable to a desktop and was ALL-INCLUSIVE. Which meant I didn't want to have a bunch of wireless accessories poking out of all the USB ports. Hence being drawn to the tx2000's tablet, bluetooth functionality (if peripherals were needed), and 12" screen.
+ The Wacom tablet works great. I like how it can distinguish between my fingers and the digitizer (pen), and that it incoorporates a right-click as a long touch. Too bad apple can't incoorporate that into their iPhone :)
- Overheating. Now the laptop by no means "overheats" to the point that it harms the computer in anyway. Now I should specify that the reason it gets so hot is because the size of the computer (small) and it's high performance. Example: If you put the computer in "power saver" mode, the computer will run relativly quiet, cool, the LCD dims, and the computer runs a bit slower. Which solves the heat problem. Now if you put it in "high performance" mode, the LCD brightens up, the fan kicks into high gear, and it gets HOT. How hot you ask? Hot enough that you wouldn't put it on your bare legs, and wouldn't keep it on your lap for any real ammount of time.
- The trackpad is pretty funky, I don't know why it's so different from pretty much all other trackpads but take note of it. I've had my computer for a month or so and I've got used to it and now other track pads feel weird but if you don't like change the trackpad will bother you (which can be solved with a bluetooth external mouse?)
- As of right now this computer will not run linux and I don't really know why. But if you do a Google search you'll see people are working on it. But it's not that as easy as others.
All in all though I love this computer and wouldn't have any other that's out right now (for the price that is). It has everything in a sleek mobile form factor. I feel bad that I only highlighted the negatives but I feel that's what most people are looking for anyway.
Updated on Dec 7, 2008*UPDATE*
1. You now can run Linux on it. The new Ubuntu 8.10 has fixed the install issues from 8.04 and nearly everything works without any extra knowledge of Ubuntu/Linux.
2. There are no "fitted" cases for the tx2500 series because of its tablet feature and relative newness. But I've gotten by just fine with a universal neoprene like case.

dshosu,
This was a very helpful review. I appreciate the cons, because as much as we want think that there is nothing wrong with the notebook we choose, it is important to know the reality of how it functions, both good and bad. All of your info was very much appreciated!! Thank you!
