Pros: Beautiful laptop, fast, high res screen
Cons: Monitor & graphics card crashed multiple times, heavy and hot
Summary: I first reviewed this laptop several months ago and praised its features. Now I am almost regretting buying it. I have sent the laptop into HP twice for the exact same reason. They fixed it the first time, sent it back and within one hour I had ... read more >>

Pros: Nice when it works
Cons: Bad Technical support; Overheats when using memory intensive programs
Summary: I use this paperweight for multimedia applications. Against better judgement, I opted for this notebook instead of a MAC G5. I'm paying for that decision, which BTW I made from the CNET review, every time I use Photoshop CS or Painter. Tech support... read more >>

"SLOW, HEAVY, EXPENSIVE, SHORT BATTERY LIFE"
Pros: NICE BIG SCREEN
Cons: SPEED, SMALL HD, SLOW AGP SLOT, HEAVY (9 lbs.), 256MB RAM?!?! BATTERY
Summary: I don't understand how CNET editor could shoot down the eMachines M6811 which has EVERYTHING better than this laptop except for a slightly smaller screen and then give a High rating to the HP ZD7000 that has so little. This machine is almost a deskt... read more >>

"Don't buy the ZD7000 , Read why"
Pros: large screen, thats about it
Cons: Overheats - overheats and oh yeah, overheats
Summary: Machine has been in and out of repair since new. Three lost hard drives - overheats like an oven , and runs really slow. Fan noise is very loud. First time I've ever taken the time to diss a product but thought I owed it to other users to tell them ... read more >>

"Media Center Edition 2005 will NOT ever be offered to users."
Pros: Overall the ZD7000 is one of the best PC's I have ever used but by not making Media Center Edition 2005 upgrades available to those users who have spent around $2500.00 on it, it just forces the model into obsolescence.
Cons: HP will NOT be offering an Upgrade to XP Media Center Edition 2005 on this model like they are for many of their Desktop models. Isn't that what the ZD7000 was sold as? A Desktop replacement notebook?
Summary: null
