"good laptop except mouse/cursor problems" on by gil_caceres
Pros: all is good with this laptop except cursor location problem. see details below.
Cons: see comments below
Summary: been using G450 for 3 months now. the keypads has a very big problem. my company bought 5 units. all units shows the same problem. the cursor transfers to different random locations while typing. so if you type sentences the cursor goes to different places within your work and much time is lost because you have to keep trouble shooting where the cursor goes. this applies to all applications whether notepad, ms word, excel, power point. in this age where time is precioys as gold, this laptop will take much gold from ones precious time reserve.

"The right notebook for the right price" on by redfield888
Pros: I asked laptop repair shops what brand they'd recommend. They all answered: "Lenovo". My heart sank since I knew that Lenovo was a high-end brand. Then lo and behold, Lenovo came out with the G450! I wasted no time in getting one. No regrets here.
Cons: I spent more than four hours downloading the drivers for Vista Home Premium (32-bit)! Talk about after sales service!
I'm now planning to upgrade to Windows 7. I've read that that the G450 really flies with Windows 7.Summary: I have no gripes with the product. The price and features are just right. You can't go wrong with the G450.
It's downloading the drivers for Vista that really proved to be a total letdown. Now I'm forced to upgrade to Windows 7 which is what Lenovo and Microsoft wants you to do anyway. Bill Gates is a zillionaire at my own expense@!*&%$
