"The best of both worlds!!"4.0 starson by technoprincess99
Pros: -Great design
-Beautiful, spacious keyboard
-Now available with Windows 7 Professional & a 320GB drive
-Works great as a tablet
Cons: -battery life (ok but could be better)
-screen a little laggy
Summary: I would totally recommend the ideapad s10-3t. I don't think that it really makes sense to compare it to the Ipad. I have both and find that there is not much overlap. The Ipad has great battery life and is a living room tablet for me- always on, always accessible. The ideapad on the other hand does not have such great battery life, but allows you to do so much more than the ipad, especially if you are someone that likes to write, create content, and use a range of software programs for business/school etc. As such I would say it has become my on-the-road travel companion, when I don't want to lug my laptop around. The ideapad is small enough that I can throw it into my handbag and go. Perfect. I carry another battery with me to make up for the poor battery life, and I'm covered. I love reading books on it in tablet mode, and with its spacious keyboard, it's a joy to type on in lectures or business meetings.
It does have a slightly laggy screen in comparison to the ipad, but it is very useable, nonetheless.
There are a few things to be improved, but my question is - is there a better netbook/tablet hybrid on the market at the moment? The Samsung sliding pc looked promising, but ...it still hasn't been released. In my opinion, this is the best out there at the moment, especially if you get the upgraded Windoes Professional version, and follow Jesse B. Andersen's excellent blog on how to customize it for max. performance.
All in all, a must have !!
