"It's what I hoped it would be. (Minor issues, below.)"
Pros: Bright screen. Fast enough. Good WiFi sensitivity.
Got a red one: it's an attractive ruby-red, not a tacky-red.
Solid feel. Does not feel like a cheap toy.Cons: Power brick requires 3-prong outlet (which my sofa-side extension cord isn't).
Power options grayed out, so I can't tell it to just stay on when on AC power. Shuts down after 20 minutes unless I do something. (Anybody know a workaround?)Summary: Installed 2GB of DDR2 667 RAM. Installation ... read more

"My IdeaPad is way sicker than ur netbook."
Pros: Easy to replace the HD and install an additional 1 or 2GB of RAM. Vista HP loaded easily on the D partition, after installing mobile 945GME drivers, video memory went from 64MB to 256MB. 'Veriface' from Lenovo, face recognition log on, it's sweet
Cons: Bluetooth doesn't work on XP but does fine with Vista. If you dual boot and find problems with Synaptic errors on Vista, install the Synaptic drivers for the Y430. 4 way scroll function is stable again. 'Easy Capture' on Vista records great video
Summary: I almost couldn't wait for one of these toys ... read more

"Screen easily moisture damaged"
Pros: Did a lot of research before making this purchase. Thought Lenovo was offering the most machine for the price. Large hard drive option. Good connectivity.
Cons: Be careful when cleaning the video screen. Moisture easily enters the screen and damages it. Replacement cost is $180, might as well buy a new notebook!! Runs hot. Battery life not great, only about 2 hours.
Summary: Handle with care!! read more

"Best on the market for the price"
Pros: It is small, light, has more memory than other netbooks, is also easily upgraded, and with the larger battery it is as good as you can get in a small package.
Cons: I have been a user of thinkpads for some time, I really hate that they didn't include the trackpoint instead of the touchpad. I personally am too heavy handed and touchpads just don't work for me.
