"Great product"4.5 starson by Denjar137
Pros: Keys, toughness, usability, battery, Lenovo utilities.
Cons: Shows signs of use right a way, display, no HDMI
Summary: This is my second Lenovo (T410 was my first one). I really like Lenovo for its nice keyboards (even though I don't like the location of 'Fn' key). It gives just right amount of feedback, and light clicking sound.
T420 is quite light. I believe that 14" screen is the perfect compromise between weight/size. I'm not killing my eyes or my back. The screen, however, could have been better. The area around the screen should have been used. The size have gotten smaller compare to T410 (14"vs14.1"). There is almost an inch of space underneath.
I know that many people mentioned its tedious design, but I like it. I'm sick and tired of aluminum, glossy, mac'ish looking laptops (I had one before my T410). I like black color and I like being the only non-mac-user in my neighborhood's Starbucks. (My second choice laptop was black Sony s)
Also, this laptop can be upgraded in no time, with zero skill. I just added a 4gb ram and going to upgrade my HDD to SSD and remove DVD drive (it's useless in our time) I can add a battery or hard drive instead.
This laptop is not perfect. The biggest issue is that its mat surface, with time, gets glossy in the most used areas. But in general, I have found the laptop that matches my needs, my style, and I'm happy with my choice.
