"Great machine with only minor flaws" on by alvinschang

Pros: Great keyboard, speedy processor, fantastic build

Cons: No touchpad -- but I quickly got used to the nub. And a minor thing: The control key is not on the bottom left hand corner -- that space is used for the function key. It's a bit annoying when trying to type by feel.

Summary: Great machine. But it's not for everyone. It's for people who do a lot of work and don't mind working without a touchpad. It's truly a joy to use otherwise.

"My best laptop ever!" on by critiasc

Pros: 1. Light! (6 cell version)
    2. Pointing stick works great
3.Fabulous battery life - Just adjust screen brightness = 6 hrs
    4. Processing power packs oomph with Win 7.
    5. ThinkVantage
    6. Quiet
    7. Little heat
    8. Compact adapter

Cons: 1. Nipple takes time to get use to.
    2. Speakers are quite soft
    3. Graphics card isn't wonderful (Intel)
    4. Power meter lies! (I remembered it stay at "3 hours left" even after 2 hours of usage.)

Summary: This is a lappie that I use for school work and work to run stats tests, write documents surf, etc. It is a great computer for me as it allows me to bring my work with me along and gives me the freedom of working without a power outlet. Gone are the days where I have to actively seek out power outlets at Starbucks and in school.

I think it is not fair to judge the X200 as an entertainment/gaming computer as it is not. While mine didn't come with an inbuilt optical drive, it came with an external one which allows me to rip stuff off dvds/ cds and chuck them in my thumbdrive etc. I haven't used the optical drive in ages to be honest about it and with the way technology is going, they might be obsolete soon. still the external opt drive gives me the option to do so.

I'm not sure about how Lenovo's support is like in other countries but the one in Singapore is fantastic! Much better than Fujitsu or Compaq support, in my opinion.

"Great Laptop, May be the best I've owned" on by ahormati

    Pros: 1- Great Build Quality.
    2- Good Battery Life
    3- Light and portable
4- Thankvantage software is the best I've seen in any laptop

Cons: 1- Display quality is not as good as some other sony and apple laptops
2- Some people may find it hard to work with the trackpad, but believe me you'll get use to it.

Summary: I've owned this machine for a year now, and I absolutely love it. I've had dell, sony and hp laptops before, and this is the best one.

"Disappointed with the X200" on by MD_User

Pros: The product is small and lightweight

Cons: Unlike what others say it doe not have good batter life. IT does not have a CD ROM drive. Tech support from Lenovo is horrible.

Summary: I had a IBM thinkpad for years and decided to buy another Thinkpad as a replacement. I was surprised as to how badly the product quality and customer support quality had degraded after it has transferred to Lenovo. I had to get my battery and Hard disk replaced. The tech support is VERY poor. I would advise everyone to keep off Lenovo products.
