"absolutely amazing laptop" on by trs707

Pros: (referring to x201 tablet bought for myself, entrepreneur. was customized directly from lenovo feb 2011 with 8gb ram, i7, 500gb hdd, ultrabright screen, best of the wifi card options, and a base for home and for work, ~$2900):
    - seamless, glorius functi

Cons: - Standard (4 cell?) battery has a very short battery life. Something like 45 minutes to 2 hours. Strongly recommend the 8 cell battery, although it does stick out from the back a bit, its not big deal and definitely worth it.

    Summary:

    Updated on Jun 11, 2011

my "pros" portion got cut off. here is full text:
    - seamless, glorius functioning of pretty much everything the way i dreamed a computer would be for a business user. Allows me to be productive all the time with almost no waiting or downtime
    - remains extremely fast and nearly unphased performance by multitasking with dozens of programs and windows, including switching in and out of 'standby' multiple times per day and on and off the x200 base home to work and back, in and out of tablet modes, etc etc.

"Excellent laptop and replacement for desktop tower." on by Matthew M

Pros: Trackpad, trackpoint, USB ports for connectivity, fast, light and small. Tablet allows use much like an iPad.

Cons: Lenovo discontinued their famous thinklight (built in keyboard illumination found on most Lenovo laptops) although the keyboard functions indicate it is still there.

Summary: Great laptop PC, wish I had known about the missing thinklight whihc has been a hallmark of the Lenovo features for some time.

"Best 12.1 inch laptop around. Astounding build quality." on by thatoneguys

Pros: This is an excellent Machine. I have a later addition with a reflection resistant 12.1 inch lcd, so GREAT screen. Great power. Very portable. Excellent battery. Looks MUCH better in person than in picture. AMAZING keyboard. Excellent wireless card.

Cons: A tad bit thick, especially with screen closed. The lack of a discrete graphics card keeps this machine from being a genuine desktop replacement. Build and shipping time can take a few weeks. Lenovo has a strange tendency to cancel orders w/o reason.

Summary: I payed less than 1k for this on lenovo.com with coupons and what not, so it wasn't a high priced machine for me. Personally I do not think any computer is worth more than maybe 1200. Excellent functionality. People dog the lookks, but once you see it in person you will come to believe that it is very classy and very professional. The biggest thing, look-wise, is that it lacks a chiclet keyboard like most current laptops. TRUST ME, once you start typing on the keyboard, you will not miss the more fashionable chic-let keyboard (I have used several on previous laptops). The biggest flaw is the lack of a discrete graphics card. Honestly, with an i-5 processor, it can handle most graphics requirements, but the graphics are somewhat choppy on modern games, like Dragon Age 2 (demo). Very, very, solid build, and the thinkadvantage software is pretty nice.

Along with dozens of other lenovo customers (by my reviews) Lenovo canceled my order, no reason why. I called, quickly talked to a representative, they apologized, hooked me up with some minor fee upgrades, and put in my order at the same discounted price. Still annoying that I had to go through it all.

"Best laptop I have used" on by someguy_id

Pros: Small, lightweight (not bulky at all), fast - especially with the SSD, great battery life, thinkpad keyboard, fixed some the Thinkvantage quirks from the past

Cons: None that I have found

Summary: Simply the best pc/laptop I have ever used. Great keyboard, screen, SSD, productivity tools. I travel a lot and this is prefect for the airplane. I have been using this for 3 months and I now hate usineg other pc's because they just do not have the same feel. I use Windows 7 with an SSD, I7 and I am fully booted and ready to run in 20 seconds. I use the finger print reader which also works great. Apples to apples this is LESS expensive than other truly compariable laptops. I paid ~$1700 on Lenovo.com for x201, I7, 8 gb, SSD, extended warranty, and a few other upgrades.

"I really like it" on by Jeromewillk

Pros: It worked really fine with no problems

Cons: I wanted to pick another color which was not available

Summary: Hi, I bought my lenovo at http://sparkwareit.com so first of all I would like to say to them thanks for being so nice.
Second of all I would like to add that at start I only knew that I want a lenovo. When I told the guys at sparkwareit.com that I a looking for a laptop for specific tasks they told me this will be the perfect laptop for me.
I must say that they were 100% right and I am thankful for that.
