"Took a licking..." on by bancharar
Pros: Not only is this little netbook stylish and pleasing to the eyes, hands, and pocketbook; it has been DAMNED RUGGED. I am ashamed to admit that this thing has hit the ground well over twenty times. Usually while on! It took it all like a champ. Unlike anot
Cons: None that are the computer's fault. My last drop seemed to be a tipping point (no pun intended) and I'm going to replace the hard drive to see if that will fix it. All the other guts still look brand new.
Summary: Even a few years down the road (purchased in 2009), I'd buy this netbook again. It has exceeded my expectations and improved the Samsung brand in my esteem.

"Performed exactly as advertised - it's a NETBOOK" on by justme-
Pros: Light, small, full sized keys, awesome battery life. Never crashed and travels with me on the road several times a year.
Cons: Touch pad is sensitive to advance commands when you want simple commands, sound volume is weak.
Summary: After more then 2 years using this almost daily at home and traveling (bought 11/09) it has performed flawlessly! Never crashed, hung, blue screened or given me cause for complaint! Full sized keys were a big draw for me and the touch pad (tho it often mistakes my intention to scroll and zooms, or my intention to move the cursor with a scroll)
Upgraded to 1gb ram when I bought and can stream movies, live cam feeds, etc with zero issue. Running Chrome and Panda cloud to conserve ram (As all netbook users should).
I travel a couple of times a year for business- 1 trip in particular is 2 weeks straight and I have to update sales daily over VPN or email list. I also remotely administer our network and remote desktop into my workstation from this machine.
The touch pad is annoying, and my only (and I mean only) other complaint is the sound quality is weak- but one can only expect so much from such tiny speakers- earbuds solve the issue.
Compares to every other netbook I have seen in speed and performance. Those complaining about speed/performance likely forgot they bought a netbook with designed limitations. Such was the case in most reviews on all netbooks when I was researching to buy this one. It's an Atom, and has done everything flawlessly for me. -
"Slowest computer I have ever used" on by topsy1970
Pros: Looks nice, feels rugged and well built
Cons: Poor performance, really slow. Did I mention slow?
Summary: Bought the Samsung N310 on impulse. I looked good and it was on sale. I thought any computer from 2010 and onward would be somewhat fast. I was not expecting gaming type performance, but just loading pages was a hassle for it. Forget about multi-tasking. This netbook really disspointed.

"Unreliable and terribly slow, even for basic computing" on by tgscriven
Pros: The keyboard is worthy of all the awards it has received, as fingers fly over the keyboard and find the keys easily. The netbook is incredibly light and small, fitting in my wife's purse easily.
Cons: I have owned the computer for 5 months and find it tediously slow, even for basic computing (internet browsing & word processing). It crashed last week, so I had to return it. I received it back after a week but the computer crashed within 2 hours.
Summary: The computer is sluggish for basic computing (internet browsing and word processing). The hard drive crashed, requiring a complete restore just 5 months after purchase. I returned the product to Samsung for maintenance (which meant being without a computer for over a week) but the computer failed to boot up within 2 hours after it was returned to me. I simply installed automatic Windows updates and the computer froze and would not reboot. Samsung has refused my requests for a different computer and customer service headquarters will not return my calls.

"Poorly built, Abysmal Warranty, Bad Customer Service" on by shik76
Pros: it worked fine, easily transportable, and looks good.
Cons: The product is not as rugged as it looks. LCD monitor cracked easily internally (no external damage) & Samsung refused to cover it under warranty b/c they don't cover internal damage! Customer service horrible - I've flushed $300 down the drain.
Summary: Great product, until it breaks. Then, you're screwed. Even if you bought it recently. Not worth it.
