    "Pleasantly Surprised!" on by WhoMe14

Pros: Excellent fit and finish. Fast boot up, and quick overall performance. Sharp and bright Screen. Bluetooth and built in camera standard. Generous 160 gig hard drive. Six cell battery standard, LONG battery life! Spacious and Easy to use keyboard.

Cons: Limited color options, and those other than white are high gloss finishes.

Summary: I spent a lot of time researching netbooks and while they all have almost identical specs in respect to CPU, and RAM they aren't all the same. The standard camera, six cell battery, bluetooth, and large hardrive set this one apart. Quality of construction counts and Samsung delivers. This thing definitely doesn't feel or look like a toy. The white isn't a plain white, its a matte silver/white like finish, looks real classy. I purchased this sight unseen and I was afraid the NC10 or any netbook I got would be slow. I was pleasantly surprised when I booted the thing up and ran 2 Word windows, Firefox 3 tabs deep, and Itunes at once and the little thing ran through it like a champ! At $470 shipped from buy.com it was a steal and I would buy it again, friends and family all wanna know what it is and how much! A+ Highly recommended!

"Best overall by comparison" on by commo

Pros: Excellent Keyboard with no comprimises, quick bootup time, battery life is wonderful, non-glossy screen really helps reduce glare outdoors, runs very quiet and doesn't get hot even when using for extended periods of time. Very good build quality.

Cons: Feels a little off balance when opening lid due to 6 cell battery being the center of gravity. Track pad is small vertically. Speakers are not the best quality.

Summary: I've installed Office 2007 Ultimate and the system doesn't seem slow at all. I DID upgrade to 2GB RAM the moment I got the netbook though. I was debating between the HP Mini 1000 and the Samsung but went with the Samsung because it has larger and faster hard drive than HP Mini 1000. It also has more USB ports. With the HP, you need to purchase a special adapter to view on an external monitor whereas the NC10 has a regular VGA out. Also, NC10 has a two jacks for headphone and microphone whereas the HP has only one which is to be used for both. As far as the Cons go, I can compromise with the off-balance feel since I love the 6-Cell battery. As far as the trackpad goes, I installed a 3rd party software called twofingerscroll which allows me to tab up and down with two fingers just like you can on a Mac. This helps tremendously. If you use headphones with the netbook then you won't notice any audio problems at all since the sound comes out load and clear. Overall I chose the Samsung NC10 because it feels like a regular laptop since it has a large hard drive space, plenty of external ports and the keyboard feels normal. With some other Netbooks you can definitely tell that your using a netbook due to the smaller hard drives and keyboards. Designwise, the Samsung looks very sleek. If your debating your next netbook, you must put this Samsung on the top of your list.

"Nice design, sufficient ports, good keyboard size" on by hawk9858

    Pros: Battery
    Battery
Oh did I mention the battery. Consistently 7+ hours on a charge
    (3) USB ports
    Nice size HD
    Well Built
    Good display

Cons: Haven't really found one yet
Not a con, but a SSD option would have been nice

    Summary: Soild construction
    Excellent battery life
I've looked at so many Netbook's in the past 6 months; HP2133 (inferior processor/runs hot), Asus, Dell Mini, etc. and overall I believe the Samsung NC10 beats the competition

"The BEST Netbook By Far" on by markthomps

Pros: I looked at all of them, trying them on for size and was ready to get the Lenovo S10 despite its limited battery life. Then I heard about the Samsung. Great (and large) normal keyboard, 6-cell battery 7+ hour rating. EXCELLENT and easy to type on.

Cons: None. I got the sapphire blue version and it's drop-dead gorgeous and gets oohhhs and aahhhs every time people see it.

Summary: The best netbook out there. Lenovo would be my second choice (definitely not the Dell with the odd keyboard) except for the low battery life. Typing on the Samsung is close to using a normal-size keyboard, which is important to me. I've loaded Office 2003 with no problems and it picks up wifi sources quickly. Gorgeous and bright screen with lots of easy power and display options. You pay a little more, but you get a LOT more.

    "Perfect ultraportable" on by emoslayer6224

Pros: battery life really is 8 hours, the atom is quick, the screen is bright, the webcam, card reader, VGA out, sound card, wifi and bluetooth all work as advertised in Windows XP, Windows 7 beta, Fedora Core and Ubuntu. Nice keyboard.

Cons: Really none, save for the location of the LAN port and caps lock key.

Summary: This is bar none the best laptop I could ask for in school, it replaces a Macbook or other small laptop and outdoes it in most areas. Couldn't be more impressed. Great purchase.
