Summary: Having borrowed my brothers Mac Book Pro for a few weeks as my trusted Samsung R530 encountered a fault.
Now comparing the Mac Book Pro to my R530, I would take the R530 any day, I could only achieve 177 fps on video rendering on the Mac Book Pro, for a high end laptop with an i5 processor this is pretty shocking as my R530 with an Intel Dual Core(T4400) can process a video at 106 fps.
Comparing the Samsung Chronos Series 7 NP700Z5C-A02UK with the Mac Book Pro with a price tag of £1000 for the basic model or £1250 for the same spec as Samsung NP700Z5C (no optical drive with the mac book), the Samsung wins hands down, video processing on a single core is 161 fps, with all 4 processors it was 291 fps, £800 for a laptop that out performs the MacBook Pro with a saving of £200 to £450.
Why pay a fortune for an Apple product when there are better products out there with better specs and huge savings, just look at Apple's logo, yip that chunk out of the apple is the chunk of cash out of your wallet!!!!
I picked mine up on Ebay from a trusted ex-demo laptop dealer for less than £450.
The main fault that I can find with the 700Z5C is the weight, it has one beast of a heavy battery
