"Above Average battery life, decent specs"
Pros: Good specs, 4500 mhd can offload h264 movies, mouse pad is large and responsive
Cons: Heavy, some keyboard flex, no hdmi, mousepad loud clicking, definitely budget screen, bloatware, thick
Summary: This is my first labtop. What annoys me specifically is the start up time in vista which clocks at over 2 minutes despite me tweaking it to no end (turning off unnecessary services, minimizing start up process, updating drives etc). It is heavy, and I am a big guy so you have to take that into account. Keyboard flexes a little and is a little too flat meaning it takes time to get used to before you are as proficient as you were with desktop keyboards. The 4500 mhd while great for battery life and ok for hi def video, may be bottle necking the system because every other spec is decent.
However, good things about it, includes above average battery life which is crucial for students. Speakers are ok for labtops. Solid feel to it. 4500 mhd graphics can after googling and tweaking play h264 video which is important for people like me who watch hi def videos often.
