"Solid system at a great price."
Pros: Left-handed users will appreciate split USBs. You can plug in the USB on one side and it doesn't interfere with your mouse on the other. Great keyboard spacing and key size for my huge fingers. Similar to MacBook. Bought online at BestBuy for $670.
Cons: No multimedia keys. AV button is useless. No S-Video connector. Rubber feet don't raise it off table much, so it gets hot. Use a chill mat from Targus and it helps alot. Can't determine if SD reader will read SDHC cards. DVD should be slot load.
Summary: This isn't a multimedia powerhouse, but it's great for school / business users who also want decent video and sound without external speakers. It does have some bloatware, but not as bad as HP. I've always had a blazing fast desktop and this is my first laptop. Overall, I'm impressed with the speed for multi-tasking, but I dearly miss my media buttons to control my music.
It does run hot, so I use a chill mat. The rubber feet should be thicker to give it more air underneath. This is an easy fix to improve ventilation.
