    "Light, but not "chintzy""

    on March 20, 2004

Pros: I've got the 505EX model - P4M 1.5 w/512 DDR. Fast enough for most uses, great battery life, for tiny little speakers, adequate sound, good/very good screen, decent CDRW, great wireless, built well, at this size - a surprisingly well configured light-wei

Cons: Decent keyboard for its size, but not ideal. Hope that the battery has a long life, 'cause they cost too darn much!

    on March 11, 2004

Pros: Lightweight, photo software nice. This is a model V505BX/P

Cons: Wanted extra battery.$300.00!!! You got to be kidding. In the last 15 yrs I have purchased 13 major products from Sony. Service and support could care less about a long term customer.

    "First Times a Charm"

    on February 16, 2004

Pros: This is the my first laptop because I'm a college student and wanted to wait to get the best. And I got it! I love everything about it from the stylish design to the fast wireless capability. It's so light and compact you can take it EVERYWHERE you go.

Cons: I wasn't happy about having to get Office installed, but I didn't have to pay for it so I'm not that distraught. The small right shift key is hard to get use to, but manageable. Other than that, I've fallen in love with Sony for making this cute but pow

Pros: great screen, solid feel, eveything works perfectly. good media software collection. So far I'm very pleased with the purchase.

Cons: keyboard is a bit cramped. would have liked it packaged with a DVD burner instead of a CD burner. no software disc's are included.

    "Sony done a great job!"

    on December 7, 2003

Pros: -very feature rich, with very good hardware components -very compact and lightweight without feeling flimpsy and "cheap." -amazing fest, to include a DVD-CD/RW in this small form factor -keyboard is decent with a a good feel and feedback, requires

Cons: -drive is only 4200rpm, somewhat disappointing, but no big deal, although annoying why this machine does not have the latest HD. -xpp is not default OS for all V505. Loading xphome is a disgrace - like offering a a BMW with a mini engine as a de
