"Terrible Performance + Poor Battery = Regret"
Pros: Nice screen, big keyboard, decent specs, built in card reader, nothing else
Cons: Poor battery, runs hot, vista, low performance for price
Summary: I purchased this computer alongside of a macbook. Here is a comparison to my personal favorite against a regretful, sad decision. The mac has everything i desire in personal computing experience. The keyboard is spacious, the screen is luxurious, and the OS is amazing. The exact, and I mean exact, opposite can be said for this "machine". The keyboard is nice, however, the actions that I tried to perform with it cause massive panic and frustration. The computer has crashed twice upon purchase and the whole family is disappointed. Vista, although pretty, is a pain to use and work with. My mac has been great in all of these areas, and more. Sadly, there is always a need to worry when I turn on the toshiba, praying it will start and run firefox without crashing and saddening my spirit. Why oh why must I be subject to such technological abuse. This is 2008 and my computer should run even the most basic of programs without crashing. My mac has not had a single problem, and even my netbook could beat it in a foot race of computing skills. It is so sad that a computer half the size of this monster can run so much faster, even with 1gb of ram. Don't buy and look away. Shield your eyes form this terror of my existence. This is not a test, but a warning to the wise and to to those whole believe in a computer that works. Run and save yourself mankind from the horrors that await in the the Toshiba L355D-S7825. The name itself draws thought of fear and deception. Thank you.
