"Get a Fujitsu Lifebook P1120" on by ozwald
Pros: Fingerprint reader, 1.2 GHz Pentium M, up to 1.28 MB ram.
Cons: Ugly, small screen even for it's class, grossly overpriced.
Summary: If you're looking for a laptop in this class, go for the Fujitsu Lifebook P1120.
The P1120 is $800 less, almost exactly the same size, has a larger screen (8.9"), it has a touch screen, and it's much more appealing to the eye. The performance of the P1120 is a little lower than that of the Libretto, but is still perfectly capable of running Windows XP smoothly. -
"Best palmtop around !!" on by wolfpelt
Pros: cpu power, battery life, large HD, screen colors
Cons: screen size could be bigger as there is room
Summary: Please don't categorize this little wonder as a laptop, as it is not one. It is too small (for most people) to use for work or school. Although the hardware is powerful enough for everyday use, the size of the keyboard and the screen will get you eventually. I do use it as my main computer, but admit attaching it to a regular size keyboard and external monitor. Its streangths really come out when travelling though. You can litterally take it everywhere and forget you have it. With WLANs available so readily, it is easy to stop at a coffe shop to surf the web and check email. Incredible how many features they stuffed in this little thing.

"if I have to carry the box, I would like to have a screen that is bigger then the existing one." on by ovtchae
Pros: the specs are good
Cons: it needs some refinments. Built in Bluetooth would be usefull.
Summary: if I have to carry the box, I would like to have a screen that is bigger then the existing one.
Now one has to watch the thick border plastic frame around the screen and after paying around $2000, one expect a little bit more there.
Toshiba, just make the screen with the size of the computer. -
"If You Buy It, Be Prepared to Keep Your Eye On It" on by haidaraven
Pros: Small size, lightweight, good resolution
Cons: No security lock, small keys, small monitor
Summary: I would really like to buy one of these as it is light and would be good for travel and doing personal work. Since I won't be doing hardcore word processing or other work, I can get used to the "Chiclet" sized keys and small screen.
What I can't accept is that I am being asked to invest 2 grand in something (I am not going to debate whether this is a small notebook or a extremely large PDA) that I cannot secure.
The technical specs says there is a slot for a cable lock. However, when I looked at one in the store, neither I nor the sales person could find it. I also called Toshiba support and they couldn't find it either.
Therefore, unless you trust everyone that you could come in contact with, be prepared to literally carry this thing with you all over the place. -
"Bought it about 3 days ago, hang twice. Nothing special," on by tamhdbui
Pros: small, screen looks good
Cons: Too expensive for a price tag of $1950
Summary: For a couple of hundred more, I think the Sony would be a wiser choice. I made a mistake, would hate to see you make the same
