"Lighter than air"
Summary: Just got my Portege R100 in the mail today. I ordered directly form Toshiba online, and was told that it wouldn't ship til late June, so I was doubly excited! Opened up the box, powered her on, and in minutes I was connected to my home wireless network and surfing the web. The screen is perfect, not one broken pixel, and the keyboard is almost full-size -- a miracle for a machine this size! Typing on it is easy. The trackpad is nice, easily configurable. I charged it a bit out of the box, and have been on battery about 45 minutes now, and it tells me I have an hour remaining. I haven't attached the included 2nd battery yet. The only downer for me tonite is the CD/DVD drive I ordered with it didn't come in so I can't install my software. It also didn't seem to come with any software at all either! So far, no complaints -- granted it's an hour old. But out of the box I'm totally satisfied. Good Job Toshiba!
