"Has exceeded my expectations, best PC I've seen" on

Pros: This Toshiba Qosimio F15-AV201 has almost everything built in. I've been using one for about 2 months. Impressive~ For instance, I needed to project a high resolution windows media video on to various projectors. My client was impressed when I connected i

Cons: Battery, I don't think you should select this unit if you need to operate off the power grid. I don't require mobile access, always near some AC outlet, or DC cigeratte lighter, so this is not a big issue for me. I miss the parallel printer port, but not

"Just what I needed and a little extra." on by shanejames

Pros: Great display, perfect for editing photos in photoshop. Even better for watching DVD's and downloads. WiFi works great and configures itself to most networks. Runs super quiet.

Cons: EXPENSIVE! Recorded shows from cable with the DVR make the audio slightly behind the video. Will drive you crazy if all you do is watch lips. I called Toshiba and they said it was a known bug.

Summary: Overall I love the functionality. I got the F-15 and it is still huge. Barely fits into cases made for 17 Macs. There is actually a larger version. WOW.... I can do anything advertised with ease. Since I am a photographer it is great to have on location. With the built in TV function,(you can use it like a TV without turning on the OS) I can plug my Canon 20D into the video port and preview the pics I have shot or even while I am shooting them. Clients love that! The machine is fast and quiet. I can be recording a show from cable, watching it in a small window in the corner of the screen, or in a full screen if I attach an additional monitor or just minimize it and maximize, and at the same time I can be downloading music, chatting on the internet, checking my email, and editing photos on photoshop with my 6 X 8 Wacom Intuous3 Tablet. During all this, if I am in my room I can remote desktop to my studio workstation and use it as well. All this works seamlessly. After rocording a tv show I can burn it to a DVD while doing everything else. I think that is sweet. I would have liked to see 100 MB HD instead of 80 for the price, abd 16x Dual layer DVD burner instead of 8x. But then again, some people are never satisfied...

"very good laptop so far" on by caflax

    Pros: great screen and features.

Cons: build quality not on par with sony vaio.

Summary: I've had this new laptop for about a week, which was a warranty replacement of my sony vaio(k35)from best buy. The vaio was replaced because the speakers suddenly did not work. In comparing the two laptops, the F15 is so far a more advanced machine. As I have said I only had the F15 for about a week so I can't comment about performance or reliability yet. But so far, build quality is definately not on par with the sony. Examples are the ON Light for the wireless shows through the usb port which is next to it. The flip up screen itself is kind of wobbly. The screen stays up but if someone were to accidently knock on it, it would wobble a little then give as opposed to just moving. The plastic materials used feel cheaper than the sony. I know i am just nit-picking, but for a $2000.00 machine i think I have the right to.

"The best notebook I ever had !!!" on

Pros: The Notebook is very beautiful and powerful! I am impressed with the special feautures of this notebook!!! Kudos to Toshiba!!!

Cons: My sister ordered it for me at MP Superstore and when it I saw it I discovered that there's a small red dot on the screen w/c I dunno what it is, maybe a factory defect and since I am in the Philippines now I don't have any reason to return and have it ch

"Time will tell if this is my dream machine" on

Pros: Feature rich with great screen, 5400 RPM 80GB drive, 512 MB RAM - one ONE chip, uses cooler Pentium-M chip, good sound, nice keyboard, lighter power brick, elegant look, fun to explore, DVD + AND -. I am a gadget guy and upgrade my laptop every year or

Cons: Brand new, so prices are still high, upgrades are slim, miss my modular bay, not sure why they pared down the PC-MCIA slots to one, and why is compact flash, the most common camera memory, the one format no PC makers want to build into their machines? It
