"Amazing!!!"
Pros: Wide, bright display, easy navigation buttons, fast, and sleek
Cons: Requires short, cords for external video, audio and TV tuner in. Toshiba loads on annoying software that takes up lots of memory and most are only trial versions. Heavy.
Summary: Seeing how great the Qosmio g25 was, I decided to order the not yet rated Qosmio g35 hoping it was as good or better than the g25. I bet right!! This laptop is great. With a few minor cons, it does pretty much everything you want a laptop to do and much more.
The first thing I noticed when I got the laptop was its sleek design with a beautiful wide screen. The second thing I noticed was the nav buttons with the two built-in speakers. Being an audio lover, I was anxious to try the speakers out. They are very good speakers for built-in laptop speakers but don't believe they are going to blow you away! The processor is very good though at times in has a very short lagging period but I was doing multiple things at once. Really nothing to fuss about. I love the volume dial. It is really a nice feature to have.
Now for the cons; this thing is heavy for a laptop. Like 10 lbs!! But you can't have a powerhouse be light, can you? Another minor con was the short cords required to hook up the TV tuner and the composite in for external devices such as Xbox 360 which I haven't figured out how to use the laptop for my screen when playing Xbox. Another con is the software Toshiba pre-loads on. It takes so much memory that the laptop is kind of sluggish when you first boot it up. I had to uninstall most of the pre-installed programs which many of the programs were trial versions anyway. A very minor con is that when using the volume dial, you can't see in comparison how high or low the volume is. I also wish the g35 had more lights. I liked how the g25 had lights on the nav buttons. Now for the biggest con which has nothing to do with the laptop itself but rather Toshiba as a company.
Being one of the first people to order this laptop, I ran into a major problem with Toshiba. I had to send mine back for inspection! About 20 g35's had minor Bluetooth and pixel related problems and of coarse mine was one of the 20 first laptops sent out. Mine had no problems I could see but it is better to get it inspected than regret it later. A pain in the butt but Toshiba made the process as painless as possible. Free overnight shipping. Even so, Toshiba should have checked it out before sending my product. Shame on you!!
All in all, if you are thinking on buying a laptop, I highly suggest the Qosmio g35. It is a great laptop with multiple features. The design is sleek and stylish but a bit pricey.

The g25 is so much better u wont believe it when u use them side by side, i got the g25 solely for gaming and some of the multimedia features and after having it for the past year and a half my brother got the av600 instead cuz he thought it would be faster, he gets it and we play fear on them together, and i put mine on max settings and play online and he has to put his on auto setting and its a laggy sometimes, after a year and a half mines still better for gaming... trust me, i own them both and g25 is alot better still... plus the touch pad buttons are so annoying on g35.. i always hit print or one of the buttons and mess up what im doing... also g25 is lighter weight, and only (1000 dollars on ecom..) u have to use them side by side to know how much morerelaxing and better feeling the g25 is...

Activating the external input devices can be
tricky. You only have the options of inputing
Composite and s-video devices. You need to boot up the QosmioPlayer and press the (i)
button for Input to get the Xbox to work through the inputs. Not a breathtaking
experience if your used to HD on a good
display,but usable.It is a shame that this
bad boy can't input Component also, but try
to name a laptop with all the features the
inputs the G35 has. -
Looking at the Doom 3 performance, I am very glad I stayed with the G25 that has a go6600 with half the vram! Forget playing halflife 2 on this thing!Sure there is the HD-DVD capability, and the core duo, but still, if you're talking about multimedia, gaming is part of that and the fact that you are paying a premium for multimedia features, they should have put in a better gfx card. According to another review site, the european version came with a go7600, whats up with that? But knowing Toshiba, they'll come out with another version with a go7800gtx or something for maybe the $3000 they were asking for the G25.

I have been waiting for a Post on the G35. It seemed to me the main difference in comparing the G25 to the G35 is the new duo core chipset with a faster bus speed, a 1 gig ether and blue tooth. I thought these things were an improvement to the G25. Are you saying that the G35 loses features over the G25?? I've been waiting too. Thanks!
