Summary: Although I really like the feel and performance of this unit, I've had multiple HDD failures over the past 5 months. I'm lucky in that there is a service center between home and work, and they're very good, but it's the 8 hours wasted reconfiguring the PC and loading programs every time the drive dies that fries me. No one seems to know what the permanent solution is, but I think it's just an isolated lemon. That said, this is my 2nd Toshiba in 2 years, it's a great unit overall (other than the HDD reliability issue!) and is perfect road warrior unit ( I fly 200K miles a year)and use this on airplanes constantly). The screen/graphics are excellent (much better than the Dell Inspiron I bought and then returned due to support, configuration, power consumption and quality issues). As far as the complaint regarding no wi-fi, buy a card (they're less than $50 now), I have and it works great. Am in the process now of gettting Toshiba to replace the unit completely (which they are receptive to); I like the way this thing performs so much that I'm willing to overlook a lot of the HDD problems (at least the support is 10x better than Dell) because the unit is so perfect for what I need.
