"Money Well Spent"
Pros: Good attention to detail. Highest value for your dollar (500 GB, 4GM DDR, H/K Sound, HD output, firewire, etc...). Large screen, illuminated key board, and dedicated graphics cards w/ 512 RAM. This is an all-in-one business/personal use machine.
Cons: Some people can not get over the fact that it attracts so many finger prints and smudges. Why? Did you steal it?
Summary: This lap-top is $250 (ave.) less than its entry level competitors given the sheer size of the hard-drive (500 GB), RAM (4 GB), and the fact it boasts a dedicated ATI graphics card with 512 MB of ram is pretty impressive for a reputable brand like Toshiba. I use this computer primarily for school and work - so the addition of small 10-key is nice when entering values/parameters in a spread sheet. The key board lights up to an iridescent glow which is useful when typing in the dark or on a plane - it feels a lot like a MAC. On that note, besides a pinball machine like glow the Toshiba emanates, the battery is good for 3/4 hours depending on the load you put on it. Coincidentally, the computer is actually lighter than most machines of its caliber. Although not much of a concern to me, there is an integrated camera of average, grainy quality - still a decent for the price. Although I have only oned the S6965 for three days, I have been really impressed with the value this computer offers to the user. Additionally, if you purchase the S6965 from BestBuy, they will offer Windows 7 for free.
