"Excellent for the Low Cost!!!!" on by lilruthlessplaya88
Pros: big screen, vibrant color, nice keyboard,
Cons: older processor, slow at burning cd's and dvd's
Summary: i have ran programs on this computer simultaneously and found out that's when the processor takes a beating, make sure the computer's battery is in "high performance"when multi-tasking and burning discs. the battery life is kinda good when not plugged in depending on battery life option. i recommend it, i mean what do you expect for $350, your actually getting a very good laptop and is excellent for a first. :)

"Excellent for browsing, videos, dvds, and music" on by amitch95
Pros: Excellent Price, Ive never had a problem with it. Still going strong after 2 years. Plays DVDs and Netflix very well. Plays music excellently.
Cons: Dont try to play games on here. that'll never work. a little laggy when opening up programs. nothing to complain about that. The wifi takes a few minutes to load
Summary: If you like music, movies, and browsing this is a decent laptop that'll last quite a long time.

"This is a great laptop for the money but mouse issues" on by bsheir
Pros: Great for the money
Cons: This is a great laptop for the money but my one complaint is that the mouse jumps on the page when I am typing an email or document and I end out typing on the wrong line for a while. Toshiba never answered my two emails.
Summary: Overall, it is a good deal but I doubt I buy a Toshiba again because of the typing/mouse issues. Also, I like companies that respond to my emails.

"Overall decent" on by JoshuaStrobl
Pros: Nice screen, sufficient ram (for Linux), relatively light and sturdy casing.
Cons: Hard drive it is issued with is naturally faulty, screen tends to leak after about 6 to 8 months, slight probability of issues relating to BIOS.
Summary: I like this product for the most part, despite having to send it into Toshiba due to it's fault hard drive. I looked up it's model and found many others experiencing same HDD issues, along with screen liquid leaking slightly. BIOS locked up -> issue relating to BIOS firmware itself.
I recommend, since this is now considered an "old" product, sign up and make sure you get a long warranty. You'll need it.
Also, I use this for programming. It's fast when it comes to debugging on my Linux system. All Linux systems are supported naturally EXCEPT openSUSE (runs decent in LiveCD, messes with HDD horribly on install). Windows Vista runs terribly however Windows 7 runs pretty decently, so upgrading your computer's operating system is a must.
