"Great Value, Great Battery, No problems"
Pros: Great looking computer.
Boots up quickly.
Long lasting battery
Very lightweight.
Small battery pack on the cord..Cons: It has to be wiped alot.
Summary: I love my computer. I've had it for about 6 months now. It's the 14 inch screen. It so compact & lightweight, that it is very convenient to carry around. My husband has a 17 inch beast that just seems to get in the way every where we go. The computer is shiny & sleek, which makes it so pretty. I could see this being a con for alot of people, as you have to wipe it often, but it doesn't bother me. It looks great. I put a skin on the outside of mine, so it actually doesn't bother me at all..I just wipe the keyboard from time to time. The computer runs fine for me. It's quick. No delay in opening programs.
Weak wifi card
The only thing I am going to look into is the wifi card. It seems to be a little weak. I do not see any way for me to acutally change the configuration. It won't connect if I am at 3 bars, which is a huge pain in the butt. Once connected, there are no issues, but I am looking for something with maybe a little bit better range.
I think this computer is a GREAT value for the money. I got mine for about $600. It has 300 gb harddrive, 4 gb RAM and came with Vista. It comes with all of these Toshiba media programs... they seem neat & convenient , but I am partial to programs I have been using for years.
I was looking at Sony's dells, and even Macs but my mom has a Toshiba Satellite as well, hers is the 17 inch & she loves it. Has had no problems. So, when I went looking at the more compact ones, I was very impressed. I am sorry to hear the other reviewer has not had satisfaction with his toshiba.
