"Great value, perfect student notebook" on by jnaldo

Pros: Price, storage capabilities, centrino technology, battery life

Cons: some drivers were not included and had to be added, no real big cons

Summary: This is the perfect notebook for a student. Centrino technology gives you a fast processor with longer battery life, the machine comes with a 60GB hard drive and 512mb of ram, as well as integrated b/g wireless. Office onenote, a notetaking application is also included. I've only had the machine a short amount of time, but so far its very impressive

Cons: the touchpad is hard to adjust, no DVD +/- and my fingers catch the underside of neighboring keys.

"All Smiles So Far" on by pk509

Pros: Lightweight, cool, nice screen, Wireless connectivity.

Cons: Not good for gaming - but not built for it either.

Summary: We've had our Satellite M35X-S311 for almost two weeks now and are very pleased with it. It's mostly for home business use and browsing the Net and in these respects it is flawless. The wireless card works perfectly (once you get the router set up correctly), it runs nice and cool so you can use it in your lap, and the screen is bright and clear. I've loaded Unreal II onto it and even at a low graphics setting, it gets pretty jerky. But this computer wasn't built for gaming and that's not why we bought it. Battery life is averaging about 3.5 to 4 hours with the wireless card turned on all the time. MSRP is $1249. Best Buy ran a special for $899 with rebates. We had gift cards so we only effectively spent $579 before tax - a fantastic deal. We're very happy with this purchase.

"One of the greatest laptops that I have ever owned." on by ConsumerMan

Pros: Light wait, powerful, great customer service.

Cons: Have not found any problems since purchase about six months ago.

Summary: After owning a Fujitsu and a Compaq Presario I decided to give Toshiba a chance this go around. I am totally happy and content with this purchase and with the fine customer service provided by the manufacturer.
