"A lot of laptop for the money.!!!" on by EEZ123

Pros: Great screen, DVD Burner, Decent amount of memory and Cheap.

Cons: No Bluetooth, poor battery life.

Summary: I reaserched a lot of laptops it came down to this and an ACER that was about $200.00 less. Ultimately this was more laptop for the money. I found it on sale at Best Buy for $800.00 not a bad deal. Wireless connection is a snap and It comes with a decent amount of software as well. Its not a great laptop for games, but for everything else 90% of computer user do this will fit the bill.

"Looks great, but looks can decieve" on by marvelmann

    Pros: Excellent screen and wireless

Cons: Battery, Dvd-rw fails , AC causes freeze

Summary: I fell in love at seeing this laptop. The screen and the dvd burner were exactly what I was looking for. But I cant copy dvd's anymore because they fail when writing to a disk. Another problem is when I plug in the Adapter while the computer is running, it freezes the screen. Ive never had that problem with 9 different laptops. The battery life is 2 hours tops, which is unaccetable. I wont deal with Toshiba again. My uncle has a Toshiba as well and the mouse on it is horrendous. Get an HP with ultrabright and a Dvd+rw drive instead of this.

"Great for class Celeron (1.5 GHz) Notebook!" on by dapanayotov

Pros: Brighter screen, faster disk, beter speakers, DVD writer, Wi-Fi

    Cons: Windows XP Home Edition

Summary: This is my second Toshiba notebook and I love it! There are many exstras as compared to the others in this class - TrueBrite screen, large 80 Gb 5400 rpm disk, 512 MB 333 MHz RAM, DVD±RW (+R double layer)/DVD-RAM, ATI RADEON XPRESS 200 Video, Harman/kardon stereo speakers, Wi-Fi, thin 1.4" and light 6.2 lb. I am using it for two weaks in my lab to process my research data and at home at least 15h a day - it is working great as multitasking mashine. And as a Toshiba notebook it has perfect powersaving feature and lots of software. DVD/CD writer is quiet and fast. It you do not look for faster mashines (Pentium M class)this is a perfect, not expensive mashine!

"Just purchased it and have not had too much time to fully evaluate it." on by mjliuzza

Pros: Very sharp15.4” display, fast 80GB HHD and the Multi combination CD/DVD drive/burner is superb.

Cons: Battery Life is pitiful. Normal usage is 1.2 hours than you will have to use the wall charger to continue a project.

Summary: The 15.4” display has terrific resolution and clarity and is by far one of the best laptop displays on the market.
Overall performance is adequate for a small business operation. It’s 80GB (5400 RPM) HDD has all the storage space necessary for my profession. The wireless Internet modem is very secure and setting it up was very simple, in no time I was receiving email messages with no connection problems.
The price, $999.00 that I paid is one of the main reasons that I purchased it and in my opinion is one of the best per dollar values on the market.
