"Do not buy this laptop!!!!!!!!!"
Pros: Comes loaded with everything you need
Cons: Fan, harddrive and screen problems
Summary: First let me start by saying I have owned 4 Toshiba's in the past and was always happy with the product. Never again will I buy a Toshiba product.
Purchased from COMPUSA with extended warrenty (thank god). The first one out of the box had pixels in screen that where blown and was told that Toshiba did not consider this a defect(it had to be more than 10% to be considered a defect). Returned that one under the CompUSA 100% satifaction policy.
Next the hard drive failed this was about 3 mouths after I had purchased (just about the time you get everything where and how you like it). Found out CompUSA has to send out to Toshiba this can take for 7 to 21 day it took 19.
Now the cpu cooling fan has stop working and causing overheating problems. Still waiting for this to be fixed again told 7 to 21 days this is day 15 and when I called CompUSA was told that Toshiba has to send box and RMA to them and this has not be done yet. When I called Toshiba was told that this was not my problem that it was between them and CompUSA.
I have ordered a Dell, because who knows when this will be resolved.
Please do not buy Toshiba

I've had mine for nearly a year and it's positively the best laptop I've had (after owning a Sony Vaio that never worked quite right and a Dell Inspiron which needed two new hard drives in two years and had overheating problems.) I do use a Targus Chill Mat with my laptop now, partly for comfort and partly to protect the computer from overheating. This is simply the most trouble-free computer I've had in years. Just goes to show one person's opinion does not necessarily apply to everyone.

Is this a Toshiba issue or a Compusa issue?
We will never buy anything that needs service at Compusa again. They simply are not oriented towards business. They don't understand we need the laptop/computer/whatever fixed NOW.
We will only buy from manufacturers that offer next business day on site service or better.
