"The worst prodct I ever bought!" on by lennyround

Pros: It has a big screen so you can sit back and veiw, also the speakers were nice for bass players to hear the lower end of the audio media.

Cons: Very unreliable on failed at every turn!

Summary: This computer failed me at every turn! The hard drive was never right out the box new and was replaced. The keyboard failed and I was using a wireless keyboard and mouse. It was replaced. The screen failed and was replaced. The WIFI card failed and was replaced. The power cord conection worked itself lose inside somewhere and caused a buzzing noise in the speakers. And finally the computer stopped turning on. This all happened over two years and three monthes. Best Buy is giving me a new computer to satisfy there Black Tie Contract I singed to protect myself from lemons. If I had not signed that contract I would have been completely screwed. Those 505's are not cheap new. In my opinion Toshiba needs to fix the issuse that they sell instead of just passing the same issuse along to the new models they call computers. Do not buy Toshia Computers! They Suck A*s!

"Love my Laptop!" on by toshibaSatellite02

Pros: Fast, HUGE screen, very nice game graphics, comfortable to use, bright clear colors, very nice quality in viewing movies even when plugged into TV thru HDMI. This is the BEST LAPTOP ever! For someone like me who doesn't need a Quad-band processor. Hot-key

Cons: Quite heavy which is expected for a laptop this huge. Yes, it's hard to find a laptop bag for this but that's why there are dressmakers, bag-makers, etc... in fact it's a delight to have custom made unique laptop bag made and designed by the owner. Anothe

Summary: Been with me since Feb 2010. So 1yr and 6months. Unfortunately some users aren't careful with laptops. How can someone crack a part of the laptop? Are their wrists weighing 1kg? my laptop is flawless except the accumulated dust in the keyboard which is why we need a keyboard protector. Note: Please read "How to take care of your laptop"! Don't place anything heavy on top of it, Should never spill anything liquid! etc... For someone who takes good care of this, it definitely lasts LONG and EFFICIENTLY! No problems so far for a year and a half. Best laptop! Outlasts its warranty for durability.

"Great laptop with a few flaws" on by turtle138

Pros: Screen size is one of biggest I found on market. Blue ray player built in media keys are a nice touch when playing media.

Cons: small problem is its to big to fit most laptop bags.(have to go to 3rd party to get one to my liking)
ans second battery life is only anput 2-2.5 hrs with standard battary)
Major flaw covered under warranty the case is not sufficient enough to support the

Summary: If your looking for a great laptop to use in one place or to watch media on and you dont already own a blue ray player this is a great choice. If your looking for something durable and easy to transport try a toshiba netbooks

    "Terribly outdated." on by MyMKEFilm

Pros: Big screen, numerical keypad and very nice speakers.

Cons: VERY heavy. No bags made to fit this beast of a laptop. Not exactly portable. Short battery life.

Summary: BEASTY. And was very cool when I bought mine almost two years ago. Since then the HDD has failed once and the plastic wrist rest has cracked under normal wear and tear. (I type a lot.)

If you drop it, it will be destroyed. The heavy chassis encased in flimsy plastic is not a best combination and the Core 2 Duo is far too outdated to be used for anything beyond word processing, basic internet surfing and very light photo editing. I upgraded my camera and it rendered this laptop useless to me :(.

"I Like But Some Things Where Made Poorly." on by Shack-Bash

Pros: Nice and big, what I wanted Impresses everyone with size and screen. Is reliable and if you are not upgrading and tweaking & geeking it will run better than your old unit. Harman/Kardon speakers are the best in laptop sound system I have had.

Cons: Glossiness pain keeping clean, get ready to fix listed features right away (I.E. Drivers and Updates). That quick/hot key pad was a mistake, screen hinge hard to open & close. Bezel cracked under warr Not covered & $150.00 repair.

Summary: I like it but it seems slightly flimsy and almost cheap. Very hard to keep anything running as featured. Many hours spending modding and researching just to get some of the basic Toshiba features working as they should. Speakers when the audio program keeps a setting or defaults to something other than mono sounds great. Biggest kick in the wallet was this so called Blue Ray player. Run by a third party Toshiba software Coral, how many updated and patches does it take? Then to find an upgraded purchase is needed to even play a Blue Ray? Harddrive failed once under warranty. 2.5 weeks I had it back and been running smooth since. Bezel around screen cracked at support hinge because of stress and not covered. I can buy if I caused this, but it is from stress of opening and close the screen. It is big so the hinge needs to tighter when causes stress and the crack. They even tell you it is an issue but this is not covered because the PC is still working. Will crack soon enough and not be working. Out of warr. though. I will buy one again (newer model) but be looking closely before purchase. Better than an Apple though.
