The included ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4225 graphics are close to Intel's integrated graphics in terms of effective performance. The chip definitely gives video a boost, but any games that rely on 3D are hardly playable. The system ran Unreal Tournament III at 13.1 frames per second at 1,200x768-pixel resolution. For casual games and those with more forgiving graphics settings, you'll have more livable results.

With an included six-cell battery, the Toshiba Satellite T235D-S1345 ran for 4 hours and 28 minutes using our video-playback battery drain test. That's very good and definitely above average for 13-inch laptops, outperforming the battery life on the average 13-inch Core i3 laptop considerably. However, it's a dip from the last generation of T135 Satellites that had battery lives about an hour longer. It's also less impressive among Netbook competitors, so it depends on what category you consider the trim T235D-S1345 to fall under. With a low-power CPU and no optical drive, one might expect better.
