"So-so and more so-so"
Pros: not much to talk about
Cons: Speed versus price
Summary: One problem with the Japanese models and some u.s. makers is that they put in a slow processor to handle Vista and, more importantly, to save money go with a cheap hard drive only capable of 5400rpm. Standard in hard drive speed is 7800rpm. Remember, there are 3 components to a fast computer: proceeor speed, amount of Ram and type of ram (DDR2 Sdram)and hard drive seep. Your system is only as fast as it's slowest part. This is something Cnet people don;t understand and that's why their reviews need to be taken with a grain of salt. Maybe if they took a class off a matchbook cover on computers, they would do a better job.
At this price point, one would expect at least a 2.3 cpy, 2 gig of DDR2 Sdram and a 7800rpm hard drive. I guess Cnet reviews are based on who pays the most

I can't believe I'm wasting my time commenting on a post from someone who obviously has no clue of what they're talking about.
For someone who who's so adamant about proclaiming the cpu and hard drive to be the two most critical components of a laptop (this is a gaming laptop, btw), you sure don't know much about actual hdd speeds. The four common hdd speeds are (4200, 5400, 7200, and 10,000). Notice that there's no 7800 in there. For a gaming laptop, the most important component is the GPU. This laptop has an average GPU but running in SLI which makes it more than capable for a gaming laptop. Games are GPU limited, not CPU limited. You can get away with a 1.8GHZ dual core and still have outstanding framerates as long as your GPU is sufficient. You could probably go lower than that and still be fine. Having a faster hdd is only going to help with your load times between levels and such and won't do anything for your actual game performance.
I've read your three reviews and you come across as an idiot in all three.
Congratulations.
