Brother HL-2140

Pros: Cheap, starts out printing sharp.

Cons: 1. No toner counter, just a mis-guiding idiot light to get you to replace the toner too soon.
2. Same idiot lights can urge you to replace the drum and/or other parts too soon.

Summary: You pay a little at the front end for the printer. Then you PAY FOREVER, over and over and over again for choosing the brother. I suspect they profit very little on the machine, but profit big time on all the stuff you buy later; again, and again, and again, ad infinitum.................
