Summary: I wonder if your reviewer knew about setting the printer to 'graphics' and adjusting the 'intensity' from within the print driver.
It's a bit hard to find this, but it makes all the difference in the world in the quality of printed graphics. By default, this setting seems to be set much too dark, making graphics appear extremely muddy. But by lightening the setting 3-4 increments, the graphics are actually quite good.
I've had this printer only a few days but am extremely impressed with print quality, ease of set up (read the directions), and value.

Hi, Would you be able to tell me whether you tried printing #10 envelopes and does it do that without jamming? Am I correct that the HL-2170 doesn't use a 'straight path' for envelopes, my that I mean that the media doesn't exit out the back of the printer? Thanks for your help, Rob (rlf7@onepost.net)
