"Not worth Dell support problems" on by j_h_s
Pros: Price was good
Cons: Was DOA and never got a support reply from DELL
Summary: Bought the printer for my sister. The unit was delivered broken. Spent days trying to reach Dell support. Waited several times for over 40 minutes on the phone with no response. People who did answer knew less about the printer than I did. Pay a little more and get a product that works and has better support. Don't buy this printer!

"Laser printer under $100" on by mkinder80122
Pros: Effecient and inexpensive
Cons: Not as fast or full featured as the more expensive alternatives
Summary: This is a great little printer if you don't want to spend much money but want laser quality b/w printing. It is an excellent alternative to inkjet printers that need new cartridges every time you go to use them.

"Value for money!" on by awesomish
Pros: price, even the tonner is cheap!
Cons: no gray scales
Summary: I got this printer for "free" included into a larger purchase that contained an Inspiron 700M. I must say that I would have even paid its list price of $100ish.
I use it as a support printer in a small office for higher volume in black/white than what I would do in with any inkjet printer.
If you are expecting fantastic gray scales, network cables (only USB), gigantic paper trays, etc. Get another printer.
If you need a reliable black and white printer for about $100, definitely get the Dell Laser Printer 1100. -
"Nothing worth for Mac" on by hhlay
Pros: Just cheap
Cons: No compatible with Mac
Summary: I know I should check Mac compatibility BEFORE buy it... But I never had like this problem because I use many printer and always I can use printer with Mac.
But this printer... doesn't come any driver for Mac.
Be CAREFUL for Mac user!!
I really disapointed DELL is still WinTel company. I'll buy another printer and I'll trash printer 1100 tomorrow. -
"Great printer for the price!" on by bmwtdc
Pros: High quality build, very fast for its price. Paper tray holds an adequate amount of paper.
Cons: The paper tray is exposed, so if you don't print often, dust will accumulate on the paper and may affect the quality of the print on that one page.
Summary: Bottom line: totally worth the $100.00. I've owned this printer for over 4 years now and it still provides me with outstanding performace. It jams very infrequently and is much more economical than an ink jet printer. I still can't believe dell is still selling it for such a low price over the years.
