The HP LaserJet 1022 series of grayscale laser printers is designed for small offices and homes. We reviewed the 1022 base model. To network this printer via Ethernet, pay $100 more for the 1022n version. If you're into Wi-Fi, add another $100 to get the wireless-ready 1022nw.

Summary: The HP LaserJet 1022n delivers high output quality and good speed for the price. It's unquestionably a personal monochrome laser, with only a 250-sheet paper capacity, but the network connector makes it appropriate for small networks, too.
