"Cheap to buy, Cheap to operate ..."
3.5 starson by dok407Pros: Good quality prints, CHEAP to keep!
Cons: With age the "spooler" has a tendency to grab more than one piece of paper at a time, but HP will send you a kit to fix it for free.
Summary: Was given this printer from my dad about 2/3 years ago and I've still not put a single cent into it. Meanwhile I've watched my roommate spend hundreds after hundreds of dollars buying new printers and ink. It's not the best on the market by any means, but if all you need to make is black and white prints and you want them quicker than an inkjet then you should take a look at this if you can find it cheap. I've seen others complain about it grabbing two sheets of paper at once, but if this starts to happen HP will send you a kit for FREE that "temporarilly fixes the problem" according to them. Mine started to do that about a year after I got mine. I called HP and they sent me the kit which was the easiest thing in the world to used. (you just stick it into the printer like you would a stack of paper and push down for a few seconds) it's been atleast a year or two since I used the kit and it's still working great.
